Executive Diploma in Accounting and Finance
General Information
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka is the Statutory Body responsible for the regulation and control of the Profession of Accountants and Auditors in Sri Lanka and also for the conduct of the qualifying Examinations, Study Courses and Training for the membership of the Institute.
Objective
Those who complete the program will be updated with the theoretical and practical aspects of Accounting and Finance disciplines which are relevant to today’s commercial world up to the entry level of Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Financial Administration of ICASL.
Target Group
- Intermediate/Licentiate qualified students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka who have not as yet obtained their final qualification
- Part qualified students of CIMA, ACCA, CIM or any equivalent qualification
- Any other qualification mentioned below:
any other professional qualification accepted by the ICASL
- Those with substantial experience in Accounting and Finance fields without formal qualifications in private and public sector
Course Outline (Duration: one year)
Semester 1: Financial Reporting, Quantitative Methods, InformationTechnology and MIS, Management Principles
Semester 2: Financial Analysis and Planning, Company Law and Taxation,
Human Resource Management, Marketing Management
Course Duration
In order to be eligible for the award of Diploma, candidates should:
- have 80% of attendance at Lectures
- obtain a minimum of 50 marks in the written papers in each of the subject areas
Lecturing, Presentations, Group discussions, Assignments, Case study
Advancements
- Those who successfully complete this course will be eligible to follow Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Financial Administration (DBFA).
- DBFA qualified students are exempted from 5 subjects of the Master of Business Administration of the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
- Rs. 75,000 payable in 2 installments at the commencement of each semester.
- A 10% discount will apply for those who make full payment at the commencement.
